Restaurant

The Le Dézaley restaurant is located in Niederdorf, at the foot of the Grossmünster.

Although we are famous for our cheese fondue, we offer a range of other Vaud and Swiss specialities, too, such as Krautwurst, snails, Zürcher Geschnetzeltes (finely sliced meat in a creamy sauce) and butter-baked perch fillet, so "non-cheese-lovers" are also sure to find something to set the pulses racing. In addition to our standard menu, we offer seasonal dishes such as venison and asparagus. And in the afternoons, our menu is complemented by a choice of quick and simple dishes.

Our wine list, which consists primarily of wines from Vaud, stays true to the motto "Le vin se boit au 'Dézaley', pur le matin, a midi sans eau, le soir comme le bon Dieu l'a fait" (The wine at Dézaley is drunk pure in the morning, without water in the afternoon, and as God made it in the evening) – a phrase which adorns the walls of our restaurant.

The house in which the restaurant was established in 1902 was first mentioned in the 13th century. Although its décor and facilities have been continuously updated, its character and cosy atmosphere have remained intact.
